Dan Parilis (Brian, Writer/Director)

Writer, director and actor Dan Parilis is a dedicated independent filmmaker for whom Themes & Intermissions is a labor of love, and the culmination of years of dedication and creation. In addition to his work as an actor in Themes & Intermissions , Dan has also appeared as Christian Monnier in the short film Thanatos (2006), as well as in the feature film Written by Franklin Mann (2002), plus primary roles in Showcase, Placebo, Beyond Life, Puzzled , and My Jimi Hendrix Experience , and “The Horrors of Hussein” for The History Channel. Favorite stage roles include Tom in The Glass Menagerie , Dr. Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace , Scrooge in A Christmas Carol , Inspector Hubbard in Dial 'M' for Murder , Jacques (later rewritten as 'Gaston') in Beauty and the Beast , as well as appearances in V.O.I.C.E.S., Murders for You, Wuthering Heights , and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde . He is also a classically trained singer and one of New York 's premier vocal instructors, with a near four-octave range and a mastery of a diverse assortment of musical styles.
